Allison Burkholder

Allison is a VISTA for the GardenHouse program who works to coordinate volunteers, workshops and events. Please contact her if you are interested in volunteering, program information, or hosting your next event at the GardenHouse!

Heather Hymes

Heather is a VISTA and works as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Allen Neighborhood Center. She is also working with Hollie on ANC's Farmers Market and Food/Nutrition programs. Please contact Heather if you are interested in volunteering for any of our programs.

Joan Nelson

Joan has served, since 2000, as the Director of Allen Neighborhood Center. From 1996 –2000, she facilitated the Eastside Neighborhood Summit Project, a ‘healthy communities’ initiative that mobilized the creativity and resources of the community to improve the health and vitality of Eastside neighborhoods. Joan has lived on the Eastside since 1975.

K'Anna Burton

K'Anna is the director of the GardenHouse and all gardening programs. She has a background in school gardening and outdoor education, along with holistic health care.

Lily Torres

Lily is a VISTA and works at the ANC as the volunteer coordinator. She also works in the downstairs office doing Outreach and Engagement. Contact her for any volunteer opportunities.

Lindsey Kennedy

Lindsey is the Administrative Assistant and Community Breast Health Worker at ANC.

Maggie Kantola

Maggie works as an Americorps VISTA with ANC's, Farmers Market and Food/Nutrition programs.

Matt Penniman

Matt is the editor of the Eastside Neighbor, ANC's bimonthly newsletter, as well as the ANC webmaster. He lives on the Eastside near Hunter Park.

Meg

Meg Sparling is the Fund Development Coordinator at Allen Neighborhood Center.

Rae McAlvey

Heather Rae is a VISTA at the Allen Neighborhood Center doing Outreach and Engagement. She is a native of Lansing and has a big heart for the Eastside of Lansing.

Tom Curtis

Tom is Director of Outreach & Engagement. He is one of the first people you will meet when you call or come into Allen Neighborhood Center.
