Breast Health Club: ANC sends out a monthly reminder post card to women all over the Lansing area, reminding them to do a monthly self-exam and providing them with information to help reduce their risk of breast cancer. Breast Health Events and Activities: The Breast Health outreach program at the Allen Neighborhood Center puts on two big events every year. This year, they included a Breast Health Dinner, and a Survivor Night concert featuring the stories of neighbors who are breast cancer survivors as well as the music of Nervous but Excited. Outreach workers attended Michigan Pride as well as the Lansing African-American Parade, speaking to women about breast health. We also fielded a great Eastside team for the Race for the Cure, as pictured below.
