Kinship Families is a support group for people raising their relative’s children held at the Allen Neighborhood Center, where you are free to:
- Share concerns related to your kinship family
- Make connections with other kinship families
- Receive information about kinship resources, i.e. legal and medical assistance
- Enjoy free snacks and childcare while you share a few hours with other kinship caregivers
- Attend informational workshops about kinship issues
- Gather kinship family resources and legal information
- Listen to educational speakers
What are Kinship Families?
Any relative raising another relative’s child — most commonly, grandparents raising their grandchildren.
