About Breadbasket

Stacks of box of fruits and vegetables

Breadbasket Food Pantry distributes free produce, bread, and baked goods to Eastside residents each Monday at Allen Market Place, 1629 E Kalamazoo. Food distribution is from 1 - 4pm.

Neighbors are welcome to stop by between 9 am – 1 pm to grab a number at the red double doors, which allows them to "hold their spot in line" and return at the allotted time that is associated with their number. If you are unable to get a number before 1 pm, that is okay! However, we encourage arriving closer to 2 pm if you do not have a ticket to eliminate waiting for a long period of time.

During food distribution, a volunteer will bag up the food for each neighbor, either with reusable bags the neighbor brings or donated plastic bags. We are always accepting donations of plastic bags!

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Thank you Breadbasket Food Pantry Supporters!

Thank you to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, the Food Rescue of MichiganBake N CakesFresh Thyme, and neighborhood gardeners for donating fresh food each week, along with McLaren Health Plan and our Neighbors in Need donations and funders for making the Breadbasket Food Pantry possible!
