Pick up a half-bushel sized box of local, seasonal produce each week at Allen Neighborhood Center. 

Projected items include: sweet corn, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, winter squash, kale, collard greens, sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, salad mix, lettuce, pumpkins, garlic, apples, rutabaga, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, beets, turnips, herbs, & more.

When you sign up for a Veggie Box, you're choosing to support the local food system as a whole. This model brings growers and eaters together into a mutually supportive community. Veggie Box keeps your grocery dollars local, and helps small-scale, sustainable farming exist as a viable way of life.

Each week, we purchase the best in-season produce from an array of local farmers, and pack it carefully into a box for pickup at the Allen Neighborhood Center. Each week's box includes a newsletter with recipes featuring that week’s produce, a farmer spotlight, educational information about our local food system, along with other tips and facts. We source from local, professional growers who utilize sustainable growing practices and stringent food safety measures to ensure a quality product. Veggie Box is not designed to be the cheapest food you can buy, but it is designed to be a reasonably affordable and convenient way to move towards local food systems that are rooted in equity and sustainability.

Veggie Box allows you to make one single decision now that will support dozens of local businesses every week, reduce the distance your food travels to get to your table, and create a robust system that provides our area with good jobs and healthy foods. Members pick up their reusable half-bushel box each week at Allen Neighborhood Center, between noon-6pm on their designated distribution day (Tuesdays or Thursdays).

• If you pay via lump sum or split lump sum and drop out mid-season, we will refund your remaining balance less $75 (cost of three weeks of Veggie Box).
• There are no refunds for missed pick-ups.
